Hello and welcome aboard our Stamp of the Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Vandra's Virtual CTMH Craftroom then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.
Today I would like to share with you my card featuring three of the 14 stamps in the
May - Stamp Of The Month set available exclusively throughout May for $27 or for just $5
when you spend $75.
I love the clean and crisp quality of the graphics in this set and decided to make a clean and simple card. The papers from Basics Combo Cardstock - Desert Sand and coordinating Hounds-tooth pattern from the Basics Paper Fundamentals are particularly suited for a masculine card but let's face it, the sky is the limit when it comes to choosing colours to suit your theme.
Using a Colonial White A2 Card Base, I scored five lines in the middle of the Desert Sand base mat (before adhereing), stamped with Black Ink on Desert Sand Cardstock and Lagoon Ink on Colonial White Cardstock. The Desert Sand & Black Hounds-tooth square was mounted on a Black mat and attached to the card base with 3D foam squares. I added a thin strip of Black behind the "Anything's Possible" Banner to make it pop and I couldn't resist adding three Lagoon sequins.
Just Sayin SOTM is only available until May 31st, 2015 from your CTMH consultant.

Marguerite, i find masculine cards difficult to gain inspiration for and your card is so effective. TFS
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of sentiments you've used. Great masculine card.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Marguerite. Love the colour combinations. :)
ReplyDeleteReally like your card, I too have difficulty coming up with ideas for masculine cards so will save this for future use.
ReplyDeleteI love your card. I love the craft cardstock and the touch of teal/Lagoon with the black and kraft.
ReplyDeleteThat scoring is wonderful, and I love the pop of blue from the sequins.
ReplyDeleteOoh these colours look great together. Very clever use of the sentiment stamps too!
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies for your kind words and all the technical help you gave me. I really enjoyed being joining my very first Blog Hop and look forward to next month's hop. I too find masculine cards quite difficult and always got constant request for Masculine Cards. Great paper design and good graphic with sentiment stamps is an old go to for me.
