When you purchase the D-Size Happy Everything Stamp set from now until July 2015, Close To My Heart will donate USD3.00 of the proceeds to Operation Smile. This delightful and versatile stamp set is still available from my store

I absolutely love this stamp set.  I have made lots of different cards with it already using the latest Blossom and Jackson Paper packets so, I decided to use use up some scraps for this card.  The little arrows and the colours from the Chalk it Up Paper Packet were made for this stamp set.  I stamped a set of balloons in black ink on Daisy White card stock, the stamped the balloon tops with coordinating inks on Lagoon, Honey and Sorbet card stock, cut each one out and inked the edges. They were paper pieced on top of each balloon, trimming off the over hanging pieces.  How cool is the arrow stamp? (used Lagoon ink) of course....and to think I nearly forgot about it whilst I pondered over my last embellishment. The sentiment was stamped on Sorbet card stock, mounted on White Daisy and adhered with 3D Foam Tape

The moment I saw the sweet little bee, I immediately thought of  the  Paper Fundamentals - Adventure Collection - Honeycomb paper.  Predictable I know, but I could not resist and it is a really quick CAS - (Clean and Simple Card) if one is in a rush. Added three Bling Gems Gold (same size)

NEWS WEEK SPECIAL OFFERS

What's Happening at Designs by Marguerite

Finally I am back at my computer with all sorts of announcements and news.  In no particular order, here goes.

1. Update of Blog

As the blog is growing, to hopefully make viewing easier I have changed the number of posts per page to three which should make scrolling down faster. I am grouping posts by category along the information bar next to the HOME tab.  I will gather all older information, for example Card Kits have now been copied to the CARD KITS page. The same applies to TUTORIALS and SOTM (Stamp of the Month). The TOOL KITS tab has suggestions for starter tool kits along with prices. The SHOP tab has information about shopping directly with me through my Close to my Heart website.  The CLASSES tab has the latest information about workshops and classes

2. RETIRING PRODUCT NEWS

The current Annual Inspirations 2014 - 2015 Catalogue/idea book retires and the Seasonal Expressions 2 Catalogue/idea books on August 31st.

May I suggest you take the opportunity to look through both books by clicking on the links below each photograph.  The CTMH Catalogues/Idea Books are full of beautiful ideas for Scrap booking, Card Making and Off the Page Projects.  Also many of the stamp sets do not retire until they are out of stock which gives you a little more time to make a decision about purchasing.

Some items are already out of stock but all products in the Brushed, Seaside, Blossom and Jackson collections are still available.  I will however, not be making any new kits with the soon to be "old" product.  Instead I am putting together END OF SEASON OFFERS, the first is on the Brushed Collection below. Ice Cream Dream S1506 CTMH Stamp of the Month Australasian Blog Hop

June 2015 SOTM - Ice Cream Dream

Hello and welcome aboard our Stamp of the month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Vandra's Virtual CTMH Craftroom, then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you two cards featuring June Stamp of the Month, Ice Cream Dream  available exclusively throughout June 2015 for $27 or for just $5 when you spend $75.

I have used one of my favourite colour combinations, using Chocolate, Pixie and Colonial White card stock . I embossed and sanded the chocolate mat and adhered it to the Pixie base mat. The cones were stamped with Desert Sand Ink on Cashmere card stock, Cocoa Ink to stamp the Chocolate ice cream (and the Pixie sentiment) and Cotton Candy Ink to stamp the Pixie ice creams.  After fancy cutting all pieces and inking the edges and, highlighting some areas with their  matching inks, I adhered three ice creams flat on a Colonial White mat (which I scored using the  CTMH Score Board) . The triple treat ice cream in the front, was built up with 3D foam tape.  Finally a touch of  bling which does not photograph very well) to add a touch of luxury.

I really wanted to use the sweet little ice cream van with all the ice creams so, I decided on a 5.5" White Daisy square card to fit everything in.  The  second mat is from the Wanderful Paper Pack. Playing on the "cartoon" quality of the stamps, I stamped everything in Versamark Ink on Pixie and Chocolate card stock and then embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Out with the ShinHan markers to colour the images (have not got the full set as yet but happy with the results) .

Don't forget Ice Cream Dream is only available until June 30, 2015 from your my store If you would like to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop please do.  Enjoy your next stop at  Jenny Gilbert's - The Creative Heart

Until next time..happy stamping!
